… with our new posters designed by Jess Fantz. We’ll be printing screening details on labels and attaching them – a way to save cash when it comes to DIY publicity. Postcards are also very handy since people can just slip them in their pockets.

Check out Chris Gore’s Ultimate Film Festival Guide for more PR pointers. At times the book is priceless (the interviews with filmmakers/producers/publicists), at times, a little too gimmicky – i.e., dying your hair a crazy color to stand out at a festival. I figure if you need green hair to be remembered, you’ve got bigger problems. Either way, the book is worth the 15 bucks – for festival participants and goers – so you know what you’re getting into when making festival plans.
