Frameline Countdown: Two Days to Go

We’re off to San Fransisco on Wednesday morning for Frameline! Here are some quick updates for “Love Sucks:”

-We got a few more emails from distribution companies and film festivals requesting a copy of “Love Sucks” for their review. Wolfe Releasing, the oldest and largest exclusive distributor of gay and lesbian films, sent an email out to Frameline filmmakers asking for screeners in case they weren’t able to catch all the films at the festival. They will also have some reps at the Frameline Women’s Brunch on June 27th. Earlier, we sent out copy of our short to Here! TV after receiving a message from their acquisitions VP.

-The Reeling Gay & Lesbian Film Festival in Chicago and the Spokane Film Fest in Washington also requested copies of “Love Sucks” to be considered for their upcoming program.

-A friend of ours, Bambi Weavil, is the CEO/Publisher of Out Impact, a gay omnimedia company for both gay men and women. She posted a “Love Sucks” blurb on the website and asked for a copy so she could post a review, so we’ll be getting that out to her ASAP.

-I posted an ad on Craig’s List asking for any local indie film industry professionals to email us with their info so we could interview them for our blog. So far, an independent casting director, cinematographer and several filmmakers have responded so keep an eye out for those posts. Also, let us know if you have any questions you’d like to ask.

We’ll be taking my video camera, Sara’s digital camera and my computer on our trip with the intention to let you in on our Frameline experience. Disclaimer: This will only happen if we remember our Frameline experience.

Wish us luck and check in regularly!
