
Tony Scott’s first film, “The Hunger,” starring Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie and Susan Sarandon, got our wheels turning about our own vampire film. “The Hunger” was panned when it first came out but became a cult classic. If you get a chance to listen to the filmmaker commentary, it’s an inspiring learning experience. To pay homage to the film, we named one of our characters Dr. Sarah Roberts, the role portrayed by Susan Sarandon in Scott’s film.
Also, there are a couple lines of dialogue in our movie that serve as an inside joke for those of you who are fans of “The Hunger.” If and when you see the film, let us know if you catch it.
